Founded by Jonathan Ludlow in London, Ludlow Art Consultancy (LAC) was established with a singular
purpose: to bring clarity, access, and sophistication to the often-obscured world of collecting. LAC is a
global art advisory and private sales consultancy working across blue-chip, modern, and contemporary
art, guiding clients, artists, and institutions through a constantly evolving international market.

Jonathan’s background in Art History, combined with experience in both primary and secondary sectors,
shaped the foundation of LAC. Having collaborated with leading contemporary artists, dealers, and
private collections, his vision was to create an advisory that unites academic insight, market intelligence,
and curatorial sensibility, a bridge between art as asset and art as cultural dialogue.

Art collecting has long been part of Jonathan’s life. Coming from a family of collectors, he grew up
surrounded by the language of art, visiting studios, galleries, and museums from an early age. That
personal foundation informs LAC’s approach today: one built not only on expertise, but on genuine
appreciation for the relationships that art creates between people, history, and place.

LAC operates discreetly and internationally, advising collectors on acquisition and de-accession strategies,
managing private transactions, and developing bespoke collections that balance aesthetic refinement with
long-term value. The consultancy also works directly with major galleries and artist studios worldwide,
supporting placement, exposure, and growth for select names across regions.

Jonathan Ludlow

Founding Director & CEO

Jonathan Ludlow is the founder and Chief Executive of Ludlow Art Consultancy. He specialises in modern and contemporary art, advising collectors and institutions on acquisition, placement, and long-term
collection strategy.

Holding a Master’s degree in Art History, Jonathan combines academic rigour with an instinctive understanding of the art market. Before establishing LAC, he worked closely with leading artists, galleries, and private collections, developing an insider’s perspective on both the creative and commercial dynamics that shape today’s art market.

This foundation has shaped LAC’s philosophy, merging scholarship, market expertise, and cultural sensitivity to create a modern model for art advisory. Under Jonathan’s leadership, LAC has grown into a globally connected firm that facilitates private sales of blue-chip and emerging artworks. He continues to work directly with collectors, institutions, and artists, overseeing all aspects of client relationships and collection.

Jemima Dennis

North American Director

Jemima Dennis is North American director at Ludlow Art Consultancy, overseeing client relationships and
acquisitions across North America. Based in New York City, she brings a curatorial and research-led approach to private collecting, bridging scholarship with the commercial realities of today’s art market.

Holding a Master’s degree in Art History, Jemima’s expertise lies in post-war and contemporary art, with a focus on the intersections between concept, materiality, and cultural context. Her experience spans both gallery and institutional settings, where she has worked on collection management, and client
development for emerging and established artists alike.

At LAC, Jemima plays a central role in shaping the firm’s editorial and curatorial direction. She contributes
regularly to the company’s written features and oversees regional strategy in the United States, from
acquisitions and client advising to artist liaison and partnerships.

Sebastian Filho

COO & Head of Digital Strategy

Sebastian Filho is Director of Operations & Digital Strategy at Ludlow Art Consultancy, where he oversees the firm’s digital architecture, visual identity, and operational framework. His work ensures that LAC’s presentation, across its platforms, publications, and communications, reflects the same precision that defines its curatorial approach.

With a background in digital design and creative systems, Sebastian has played a central role in shaping LAC’s online presence and internal
structure, establishing a cohesive digital environment that supports both client engagement and global collaboration.

Sebastian’s practice is guided by clarity and restraint, qualities that align with LAC’s philosophy of discretion and purpose. Working in close partnership with the leadership team, he
contributes to the firm’s long-term strategy and visual narrative as it continues to expand internationally.

David Ludlow

GC and Head of Compliance

David Ludlow serves as General Counsel and Head of Compliance at Ludlow Art Consultancy, bringing over twenty-five years of legal and governance experience to the firm. He advises on all aspects of regulatory compliance, contractual structure, and risk management, ensuring that LAC operates with the
highest standards of integrity and accountability across its global activities.

Before joining LAC, David held senior legal and board-level positions within FTSE-listed and
multinational corporations, including TI Fluid Systems Plc, where he co-led legal workstreams for the company’s successful IPO and oversaw international governance frameworks. His extensive experience spans corporate law, M&A, ESG strategy, and cross-border compliance, providing LAC with a robust legal foundation for its expanding international operations.
